Born, raised, and nurtured in China, I grew independently in the US into the person I am now. For many years, people from all cultures have commented from their own perspectives that certain actions or mannerisms of mine have been influenced by the US/Western culture, while others are still so Chinese after all this time. I am not sure that I can differentiate the two any better for myself anymore. It’s like when you pour a glass of red water into a glass of blue water, can you tell which part of the purple come from the red or the blue?
